In the real world of eCommerce, no solution can meet every business needs. ICINITI Store is designed from the ground up to be customizable so that as your business needs change, your web site can change with you. ICINITI Store protects your investment, and your options.

Generally, our customers have either wanted to change the "look and feel" of ICINITI Store, or they have needed to add functionality outside the base feature set.

The integrated functionality of ICINITI Store derives from the rich set of ASP.NET User Controls and a supporting .NET class library. The support library implements eCommerce business objects including

The SDK includes access to
  • technical resources such as database documentation, and class library reference.
  • email technical support to answer "how to" questions.
  • source code for the "code behind" files used to implement ICINITI Store User Controls and ASP.NET pages.
  • Sample code
The SDK does not include source code for the supporting class library, such as Sage Accpac price calculator, Sage Accpac Tax calculator and so forth. The reference documentation and sample code provides sufficient examples for how to use these classes in your custom application.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need the SDK?

You need the SDK if you wish to add or modify existing functions to ICINITI Store. If the rich set of standard features meets your need and you only wish to change the appearance of ICINITI Store, then the SDK is not required.

Customization Examples
The following examples illustrate common cases where the SDK is required.

  • You need to include optional fields in Order Entry containing data not already saved with an order
  • You want to offer shipping charge discounts based on the size of an order
  • You want to capture additional information about your customers when they register or make a purchase

How is the SDK Licensed?

The end customer who will be operating the customized ICINITI Store product must acquire an SDK license in order to run any customization, regardless of who implements the customization.

Do I need an SDK License if I contract ICINITI to provide the customization?

Yes. See above.

Is Training available?

We have offered training courses for groups of 5 or more developers, usually in conjunction with an annual Sage Accpac conference. If you have a priority project with an in-house development staff, you may wish to arrange on-site training, or visit our office in London, Ontario Canada. Contact sales@iciniti.com for information on cost and availability.

Is Support available?

The SDK license includes basic email support for a period of 1 year, and can be renewed annually.

Telephone support can be purchased separately. Developers who have taken a training course are entitled to 1 year of free telephone support.
