Keeping with this train of thought, Weleda wanted to "grow" their own integrated web site. They wanted a combined web site, web store and content management system that was much more than the sum of its parts. They wanted a fully functioning content management system as well as a fully integrated eCommerce solution all wrapped up in a single, great looking web site. For their solution they turned to Telerik's Sitefinity for content management and Iciniti for an integrated web store.
Because Iciniti and Sitefinity are both .NET applications; Iciniti's .NET controls easily sat inside Sitefinity's drag-and drop architecture. In this way Weleda was able to build a web site that gave them untimate control over the look-and-feel, and content while seamlessly incorporating a full featured web store that integrates to their Sage Accpac accounting system.
In addition, Weleda already had their own web design partner and wanted to maintain this relationship. Iciniti fully supported this process. Trakkware, Inc., led by Ben Alexandra, designed usa.weleda.com and was able to customize any Iciniti's controls to meet Weleda's specific business needs. According to Ben "Iciniti is the best product I have ever worked with. Every thing I wanted to do I was able to because of the design of their controls."
